"Andrew Kaufman goes the extra mile when it comes to authenticity, and just when you think you have seen it all in crime fiction, a guy like this comes along and knocks your socks off."
--Robert W. Walker , critically acclaimed author of over fifty novels, including the Edge and Instinct Series.
Intricate and unique plot, realistic and believable characters, mind blowing twist and turns — this is what readers will get in this thrilling novel from Andrew E. Kaufman. You will not want to put it down. It is just that good.

As an editor and publisher, I have A LOT of books come across my desk. I'm not easily impressed. I was with "While The Savage Sleeps". From the picturesque description that set the stage in the prologue, through the well crafted chapters filled with realistic suspense and spine-chilling mystery that pulled me along, to the touching ending that brought a tear to my eye, this book moved. I began reading on a Friday evening and stopped at 4:00 a.m. – when I finished the book. I found the storyline to be unique and exciting; not something I see often…even in books touted as such. I was impressed with the expertly written detail and complexity and with the characters that were both believable and memorable.
Andrew E. Kaufman has been compared to Koontz and King. I believe those are fair comparisons. You’ll be pleased that you chose to pick up “While The Savage Sleeps”... It is well deserving of the 5 star ratings it has been receiving and that I am also giving.

It takes a lot to rattle this seasoned veteran of the fright night generation, but Andrew Kaufman managed to shake me up with his shadowy serial killer mystery.....All I can say is I'm looking under my covers before I crawl in bed tonight!
